Underworld

Growing up near Sahlgrenska, one of the largest hospitals in Sweden, I once discovered that there was a vast system of underground culverts linking the different buildings together. These were rarely used by the hospital staff and to me it was more of an amazing playground where I could wander around in the empty and seemingly endless tunnels. Even though the culverts were sparsely used by the staff, you could always find traces of different events, sometimes in the most unexpected places. To me these traces often carried a blend of funniness and sorrow and my imagination turned them into exciting stories in my mind. In Underworld I have returned to this world of the empty deserted stages, with its traces of events, to once again see where it takes my imagination.
